ATG Travel Worldwide, B.V., a global leader in business travel management, announced today the company has achieved ISO / IEC 27001: 2022 certification.
The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) 27001 world-renowned standard defines the requirements that information security management systems must meet and provides guidance for establishing, implementing, maintaining, and continually improving systems to manage information security.
To achieve the certification, ATG’s compliance was validated by an independent security firm after demonstrating an ongoing and systematic approach to managing and protecting company and customer data.
“The ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification is the gold standard for information security management systems, and earning this certification reflects our dedication to safeguarding our clients’ sensitive information,” said Howie Honeycutt, Global Implementations & Projects lead for ATG who managed the certification process. “Achieving ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification is just the beginning. To ensure ongoing compliance, we conduct surveillance audits annually, reinforcing our dedication to maintaining these high standards over the long term.”
“The ISO 27001 certification is another step in our proactive approach to compliance and continuous improvement,” said Tammy Krings, ATG Founder & CEO. “We continue to invest in this area to ensure our information security management systems exceed our clients’ expectations.”
This achievement marks ATG’s second ISO milestone. When ATG earned ISO 9001:2015 certification in 2010, it was, and continues to be, the only ISO-certified travel management company in the United States. Today, ATG continues to hold the distinction of being the only ISO 9001:2015 certified travel management network in the world.
