Cruise Bar and Restaurant is turning up the heat once again this winter, unveiling two new experiences that bring bold flavour, relaxed indulgence, and unbeatable views to Sydney’s harbourside.

From a high tea with a twist at the exclusive Melba’s Rooftop, to a one-night-only wine dinner hosted by fifth-generation South Australian winemaker Robert Potts, Cruise is giving locals and visitors alike more reasons to return to the water’s edge.

BOTTOMLESS HIGH TEA
Sundays with a View at Melba’s Rooftop

For a limited time only, Cruise is opening the doors to Melba’s Rooftop, which is usually reserved for private events, for a new kind of Sunday session. Guests can enjoy a Modern Australian take on high tea, paired with bottomless tea-inspired cocktails and panoramic views of the Sydney Opera House.

Think pepperberry-glazed brisket sliders, Humpty Doo barramundi tacos with lemon myrtle mayo, and wattle seed scones with sunrise lime coulis and lemon myrtle cream. It’s high tea reimagined… no soggy cucumber sandwiches in sight.

Melba’s signature cocktails bring a native twist to the teacup, with highlights like the Mexican Bloom (hibiscus tea, watermelon, Aperol, Don Julio Blanco) and Le Havre (rooibos tea, strawberries, Ketel One and prosecco).

BLEASDALE WINE DINNER
An Evening of South Australian Excellence | 26 August 2025

Cruise is bringing a drop of Langhorne Creek to the harbour this August with a one-night-only wine dinner featuring the award-winning wines of Bleasdale and the stories behind them, hosted by fifth-generation winemaker Robert Potts.

Guests will begin the evening with a sparkling shiraz and canapé on arrival before sitting down to a decadent three-course menu from Head Chef Han Chen, designed to complement Bleasdale’s range of expressive cool-climate wines.

From the ora king salmon roulade with saffron velouté to the slow-braised beef short rib with truffle madeira jus, each dish is matched with carefully selected pours including Bleasdale’s Generations Malbec and Frank Potts Cabernet blend. Guests will also receive access to exclusive wine offers, including a bonus magnum of Mulberry Tree Cabernet with every mixed dozen purchased on the night.
