Known for creating out-of-the ordinary experiences, The Slate Phuket launches its latest BOLD event, ISAAN ON THE ROCKS, taking place on 25 July 2025 at the resort’s renowned Black Ginger restaurant. This immersive dining experience brings together culinary provocateurs Chef Paisarn and Chef “Jib” Kanyarat from one of Bangkok’s hottest restaurants, Kaenkrung, with the launch SARRAN’s latest collection of wearable art. Inspired by the fire of Isaan culture and the cool blue of the Adaman Sea, the limited-edition jewellery pieces will be available on the night, ensuring a lasting memento of a memorable evening.

Curated by Ekarin Yusuksomboon, who is known for reinventing food as art, the event will fuse the earthy heat of Northeast Thailand with the depths of the Andaman Sea, delivering a menu that’s both wild and refined, rooted in tradition, and ignited by imagination.

“With Isaan on The Rocks, we have created something special for our guests that celebrates bold taste, bold design, and Thailand’s rich culture and heritage,” says Krystal Prakaikaew, owner of the resort. “The highlight of the evening will be the launch of Sarran Youkongdee’s latest collection of wearable sculptures, alongside the fiery tastes of Kaenkrung’s refined cuisine.”

No two BOLD events are the same. Isaan On The Rocks follows last month’s Brazilian BOLD Chilli Ritual, which put a twist of Thai heat to Gaucho-style barbecue and Samba.

BOLD events have cemented The Slate’s position as the island’s most avant-garde resort, where every stay is imbued with art, energy, and world-class dining.

Isaan culture is one of the richest and most traditional cultures in Thailand, while The Slate is a living tribute to Thai artistry in all its forms. The two will come together to deliver a one-night-only celebration in the magical lagoon setting of Black Ginger.
