Things are getting frightfully fun at The Westin Melbourne, proud accommodation partner of Beetlejuice The Musical, as the hotel lobby transforms into a playground of the paranormal in celebration of Broadway’s wildly weird and wickedly fun production, making its exclusive Melbourne debut at the iconic Regent Theatre this May.

The eight-time Tony Award-nominated musical, featuring an original score by Australia’s own Eddie Perfect, will play a strictly limited season at the Regent Theatre from May 2025, promising audiences screamingly good fun in the heart of the city.

To mark the occasion, the hotel will roll out a series of spine-tingling good experiences that pay tribute to everyone’s favourite demon from the Netherworld.  Think ghoulish glamour, otherworldly eats and ghost-approved cocktails – all just a shimmy and a shriek away from the theatre.  Beetlejuice-themed experiences for guests and theatregoers alike include a decadent High Tea, bespoke accommodation packages, and a limited-edition cocktail menu inspired by everyone’s favourite mischievous ghost.

The Star of the Show: The Beetlejuice High Tea
Enter if you dare.  A delightfully devilish Beetlejuice High Tea that’s guaranteed to steal the scene. Served daily in the Lobby Lounge from 12 May (11:00 am – 5:30 pm), the three-tiered feast  ($89pp) is a tribute to the show’s twisted whimsy. Expect edible illusions, dramatic flavours, and a few surprises from the spirit world. The experience includes a bespoke cocktail so good it might raise the dead (plus more signature sips available to order). Highlights from the devilishly detailed menu include:

  • Day-O Cajun Spiced Crumbed Prawn Cocktail
  • Fright of Their Lives Cauliflower Croquette
  • Beetlejuice’s Blueberry Opera Cake with vanilla lime genoise and blueberry blackcurrant cream
  • The Apple of Sandworm’s Eye granny smith and mascarpone verrine with coffee sea salt crumb

“Designing the Beetlejuice High Tea was a real treat that allowed us to explore a unique creative direction while maintaining a strong focus on flavour and technique,” said Pastry Chef, Jaypalsinh Rathod.

“Each element and its flavours have been carefully crafted to reflect the musical’s distinctive characters and aesthetic, with a balance of refined presentation and a playful nod to the theme,” adds Executive Chef, Apoorva Kunte.
