Daydream Island Resort and Living Reef has introduced an exciting new sharing-style menu at its popular on-site restaurant, Infinity. Known for its expansive views of the Whitsunday Islands, Infinity offers an elevated Asian-inspired dining experience that is a feast for all the senses.
Helmed by newly appointed Executive Chef Dougie Fotheringham, whose resume spans throughout celebrated kitchens across Australia and New Zealand including the Sheraton Mirage Port Douglas and the JW Marriott Auckland. The new menu invites diners to reconnect over generous, flavour-packed dishes using locally sourced and fresh ingredients.
“We wanted to create a menu that brings people together in a way that feels fun, fresh and completely unpretentious, Infinity is about sharing—not just food, but special moments.” says Chef Dougie.
The refreshed menu caters to all ages and dietary preferences with a focus on sharing style plates perfect for families, couples and groups. Highlights include a delicious ‘Feed Me’ menu for groups of six or more which is also available as vegan friendly plus an updated kids menu.
Guests are spoilt for choice with dishes such as Slow Cooked Teriyaki Wagyu Rump and a comforting Lamb Shank Massaman Curry, or beautiful fresh seafood options such as Grilled locally caught Coral Trout or Sashimi of the Day accompanied by Green Onion Oil, Watermelon and Shiso.
The tasty Vegan Feed Me menu includes Korean Fried Cauliflower with togarashi mayo, Grilled Miso Hokkaido Pumpkin, Eggplant & Black Bean Udon Noodles and the classic dish of Fried Rice.
Families will love the kid-friendly menu that includes popular classics such as Butter Chicken, Tempura Fish Nuggets, Egg Fried Rice and Karaage Chicken (available for 12 years and under).
For a sweet treat to end the meal, guests can indulge in some Yuzu & Kaffir Lime Coconut Panna Cotta, Ginger & Cinnamon Cake with a Tamarind caramel and macadamia crumb or Deep Fried Oreo Ice Cream.
