Hudson also acknowledged the legacy of the current design, created by Martin Grant in 2013, expressing gratitude for his contributions over the past decade.

Qantas has a long history of enlisting world-renowned designers to craft its uniforms, from Emilio Pucci and Yves Saint Laurent to Australian icons like Peter Morrissey and, George Gross & Harry Who; each uniform has reflected the airline’s journey and the evolving trends of global aviation.

The upcoming redesign will be the eleventh uniform in Qantas’ history, and the airline will collaborate with several Australian designers to determine the best vision for its future aesthetic. The final selection will be announced in the coming months, with the new uniform set to debut in 2027.
