Minus5º ICEBAR at The LINQ Promenade reveals its latest awe-inspiring ice displays, featuring imaginative themes that transport guests to worlds of excitement and wonder. Perfect for visitors of all ages, these new sculptures include iconic Las Vegas gambling displays, cosmic adventures, vibrant Day of the Dead celebrations, classic horror movie chills and a fiery giant tiki fireplace—all carved entirely from crystal-clear ice.
Guests can snap unforgettable photos with a frozen slot machine, roulette wheel, cards and poker chips in the Las Vegas gambling section. The outer space display invites adventurers to marvel at a sculpted astronaut orbiting planets. For a colorful cultural twist, the Day of the Dead theme showcases intricate calaveras and festive candles, while horror movie fans will shiver in delight at a chilling homage to their favorite film villains from “Scream,” “The Ring,” “The Texas Chain Saw Massacre” and more. Finally, the giant tiki fireplace display brings tropical vibes with an oversized tiki idol.
The new displays were created by award-winning master ice carvers Dan “Hollywood” Rebholz and Austin Greenleaf. New, 250-pound blocks of ice were used in the construction. Each block of ice required four men to lift and hoist it into place. Prior to arriving in Las Vegas, the ice was created by utilizing a special process that removes all air bubbles, resulting in the clearest ice possible. The new construction represents part of Minus5º ICEBAR’s quarterly Staying COOL re-theming program to keep the experience fresh for guests.
“From the glitz of Las Vegas to the mysteries of the cosmos, these new displays deliver unmatched photo opportunities for everyone,” said Noel Bowman, partner, Minus5º ICEBAR. “Each sculpture captures an incredible level of detail, and I’m confident they’ll inspire awe and plenty of Instagram-worthy moments.”
