Disney Cruise Line will add four new ships from MEYER WERFT.Disney Cruise Line is set to revolutionize the cruising world again, announcing an ambitious plan to expand its fleet with four brand-new ships, all to be crafted by the renowned German shipyard MEYER WERFT. The expansion, which will take place between 2027 and 2031, is expected to elevate Disney’s already iconic cruise experience to new heights, offering families more chances to embark on extraordinary voyages filled with the magic and wonder that only Disney can deliver.

This latest partnership continues the long-standing relationship between MEYER WERFT and Disney Cruise Line. Bernard Meyer, a key figure at MEYER WERFT, expressed his enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, “We are thrilled to solidify our partnership with Disney Cruise Line further. These upcoming ships, whose names, designs, and itineraries remain under wraps, will join an illustrious lineup of Disney Cruise Line vessels that have become beloved by families around the globe. The fleet expansion will introduce innovative designs and cutting-edge technology, ensuring that Disney Cruise Line continues to set the standard for family-friendly cruising.

The collaboration between Disney Cruise Line and MEYER WERFT began over a decade ago with the construction of the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy, which were delivered in 2010 and 2012, respectively. This relationship has only strengthened over the years, with the addition of the Wish-Class cruise ships, including the Disney Wish, which debuted in 2022, and its sister ships, Disney Treasure and Disney Destiny, slated for delivery in 2024 and 2025.

With this latest order, MEYER WERFT is set to deliver eight ships for Disney Cruise Line, further solidifying its role as a pivotal partner in Disney’s ongoing mission to create unforgettable experiences for families. In addition to these ships, MEYER WERFT’s impressive order book includes ten cruise ships, a research vessel, and four offshore converter platforms, all scheduled for delivery by 2031.
