Melco Resorts & Entertainment hosted a food and beverage (F&B) minibar product roadshow at its Studio City Heart-of-House employee area to help generate direct sales and marketing opportunities for 18 local small and medium enterprises (SMEs). And, to enable longer-term collaboration, Melco’s Housekeeping and Supply Chain department executives met with attending SMEs and carried out product tastings of potentially suitable minibar products. The opportunity allowed Melco and SMEs the chance to develop a better mutual understanding through direct dialogue, learning about one another’s products, services, business ethics and standards.

Officiating guests from Commerce and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM), including Mr. Leong Wa Fong, Director of Commerce and Investment Promotion Institute; Mr. Ray Chao, Senior Manager of Investment Promotion and Commerce Development Affairs Department; and Ms. Sanna Leong, Manager of Commerce and Business Development Division, were welcomed to the event by Melco representatives Ms. Sylvia Chua, Director, Global Supply Chain and Mr. Kenny Wong, Director, Housekeeping.

Ms. Augusta Vargas-Prada, Vice President of Supply Chain of Melco, said, “SMEs and micro enterprises form the backbone of local economies, driving economic activity and job creation along the value chain. A signature event for our colleagues and local SMEs is our regular Heart-of-House Roadshows, where we open our doors and provide rent-free retail space to provide an effective platform for SMEs to share their projects and services with our teams, thereby increasing their revenue and market exposure, as well as prospects for longer-term collaborations. We are grateful to IPIM for its steadfast support to the event. We remain committed to our close collaboration to drive the development and growth of local SMEs.”
