Leading the accolades, resident mixologist Josh Tean secured the Best Mixology title, winning a gold medal in the cocktail category and a silver medal in the mocktail category.
The competition, a highlight in the culinary calendar, drew talented bartenders from across the region, each showcasing their expertise and creativity in crafting both cocktails and mocktails. Josh’s award-winning performance stood out, bringing honor to the Penang Marriott Hotel and setting a high standard for the hospitality industry.

Gold Medal – “Yamlicious”
Yamlicious draws inspiration from Bubur Cha Cha, featuring yam (known as Keladi in Malay) infused with kulim oil. This combination offers a creamy texture from the yam and a distinctive aroma from the kulim oil.
These achievements resulted in a total of three gold medals for the Penang Marriott Hotel, highlighting the exceptional talent and creativity of its mixologists.
