Allura float out.In a significant milestone for the maritime industry, Oceania Cruises has celebrated the float-out of its latest vessel, Allura, at the prestigious Fincantieri shipyard in Sestri Ponente, Italy, near the historic seaport of Genoa. This momentous event marks a critical step in completing the 1,200-guest luxury liner, which promises to elevate the standards of ultra-premium cruising.

A Ceremony of Tradition and Respect

The float-out ceremony, imbued with tradition, was a solemn affair this year as it paid homage to General Claudio Graziano, the late Chairman of Fincantieri. Father Stefano, the shipyard’s chaplain, conducted a blessing ceremony, reflecting the respect and camaraderie within the maritime community. Allura’s shipyard, Madrina, Caterina Romeo, a distinguished designer in Fincantieri’s technical department, christened the ship, ensuring blessings for all who will journey aboard her.

A New Standard in Luxury Cruising

Allura, the eighth vessel in Oceania Cruises’ esteemed fleet and the second in the Allura Class embodies the pinnacle of luxury and innovation. As the ship transitions from dry dock to the fitting-out berth, the focus now shifts to her interior, which promises to redefine luxury at sea. Featuring designer-inspired interiors, Allura’s suites, lounges, and restaurants will showcase the cruise line’s unwavering commitment to culinary excellence and destination immersion.

Del Rio added, “Now that we have completed her shell, we are excited to get started on her interior. We have lots of exciting enhancements on Allura, further elevating our offerings and firmly cementing Oceania Cruises as the only ultra-premium cruise brand.”

Unparalleled Culinary and Enrichment Experiences

Allura will debut with various innovative amenities designed to provide an unparalleled guest experience. With a guest-to-staff ratio of nearly 1.5:1, Oceania Cruises ensures a second-to-none personalised service.

Upcoming Voyages and Itineraries

Allura is scheduled to enter service from Trieste, Italy, on July 18, 2025, embarking on a six-day voyage to Athens, Greece. This journey will feature stops in some of the Eastern Mediterranean’s most charming locales, including Rijeka, Croatia; Ravenna, Italy; Dubrovnik, Croatia; and Kotor, Montenegro. Following her Mediterranean debut, Allura will explore the picturesque coasts of Canada and New England before embarking on her premiere season in the Caribbean, with Miami as her homeport.

A notable highlight of her inaugural season is a unique four-day voyage departing from New York City in September 2025, offering an exclusive experience to discerning travellers.

A Legacy of Excellence

Allura follows the successful launch of her sister ship, Vista, which received global acclaim in May 2023. This new addition to the Oceania fleet will raise the bar even higher, featuring the most spacious standard staterooms at sea and a host of immersive shore excursions.
