Spread the love

My wife and I were privileged to meet and make friends with Toshihiro Mori of the Fukuoka Convention and Visitors Bureau. With his guidance, we were advised of some of the highlights of this fascinating city. It would take months to see it all, but I have highlighted just some in my series of articles. I took the opportunity to chat with Toshi-san about Fukuoka and related subjects.

  • Why should tourists include Fukuoka on their travel itinerary to Japan?

Fukuoka City is a charming and vibrant city that offers a glimpse into Japanese culture, history, and modern life. You should include Fukuoka City in your Japan travel itinerary, including its many attractive tourist spots, historical heritage, delicious food, and friendly people. Additionally, Fukuoka City offers relatively affordable tourism compared to popular destinations like Tokyo and Kyoto, and it is less crowded than those cities, which is also a significant attraction.

Yatai food

In addition, Fukuoka has good access to other areas in Kyushu, so if you are travelling there, you can enjoy the region from Fukuoka in 2022. Time magazine named Kyushu as one of the most extraordinary destinations to explore. Moreover, because access to other major Japanese cities such as Tokyo and Osaka is also good, I think there is a great advantage in setting it as the starting or ending point of your Japan trip. Another advantage of adding Fukuoka to your itinerary is the excellent access to major Asian countries and cities.

If you plan a trip to Japan, I highly recommend spending time in Fukuoka City. You will not be disappointed!
