Under the patronage of Hamdan bin Mohammed,Dubai Association Centre Conference set to return in 2024In a bold move that underscores its commitment to spearheading global economic and social development, Dubai is set to host the fourth edition of the influential Dubai Association Centre Conference from February 27 to 28, 2024. Under the auspices of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, this premier event is themed ‘Value amplified: Associations empowering change’, a testament to Dubai’s burgeoning status as a global association hub.

The Dubai Association Centre (DAC), an initiative of Dubai Chambers, the Department of Economy and Tourism, and the Dubai World Trade Centre, organizes this landmark event. It is designed as a high-calibre platform for sector leaders and experts from across the globe to collaborate and reinforce the crucial role of associations in serving members’ needs and acting as catalysts for positive community and societal change.

The conference aligns seamlessly with Dubai’s strategic vision, particularly the Dubai Economic Agenda – D33. This ambitious plan aims to elevate Dubai into the top three urban economies worldwide and double its economy within a decade. A focal point of D33 is increasing private sector investment from AED790 billion to AED1 trillion by 2033.

Helal Saeed Almarri, Director General of Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism and the Dubai World Trade Centre Authority, emphasizes the city’s commitment to nurturing a vibrant association community and offering a platform for global sector innovation. Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, also highlights the conference’s role in facilitating dialogue and knowledge exchange, further establishing Dubai as a prime location for associations to expand in the Middle East and beyond.

Key themes at the 2024 conference will include artificial intelligence implications for association executives, member attraction and retention strategies, disruption management, and community legacy building. The event promises a speaker lineup of eminent personalities, interactive sessions, and opportunities for open dialogue, ensuring active participation from all delegates.

Since its establishment in 2014, DAC has supported and licensed regional and international associations in Dubai. Its state-of-the-art offices in One Central, DWTC, inaugurated in December 2019, offer a collaborative environment for registered associations. Previous editions of the conference have tackled themes like ‘Building a community’ and ‘Driving change: The societal impact of associations’.
