InsideJapan, the family travel specialists, has launched a new brochure dedicated to helping Aussie families get the most out of their Japan adventure.

The brochure, which is now available via the Agent Hub, showcases a selection of the top family-friendly activities, experiences, and accommodation styles. It also includes a sample itinerary which goes beyond the traditional Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka routes.

Since Japan reopened post-Covid, family bookings have made up a big chunk of total bookings via Aussie agents said Harry Sargant, Trade Sales Australian Manager for Inside Travel Group, the parent company of InsideJapan and InsideAsia.

“With approximately 50% of our bookings currently coming from the family market, we wanted to ensure we provided the right information to our important frontline agent ambassadors so they can engage, educate and convert their family focused clients,” Sargant said.

“Over the past 20 years of business we have found that families want lots of diverse activities and experiences to keep a broad age range entertained and happy. Busy families also want someone else to plan the holiday for them. Parents don’t want to always be the tour guide – they want to be able to soak it all in and enjoy it too.

We are also finding more and more families want to go beyond the classic sights of Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka, they want lesser-known destinations for more unique hands-on experiences. They also want to know how the different seasons vary and how they can best make the most of their travel dates, our brochure helps to answer these questions plus so much more.

A few highlights featured in the brochure include soba noodle cooking classes, tatedo sword-fighting classes, a traditional ryokan stay or experiencing taiko drumming,” he said.

“Leading up to their adventure the InsideJapan’s expert Res Team, our Travel Consultants, offer expert advice and can plan an awesome bespoke itinerary which keeps everyone happy and entertained. Then once they are on-the-ground families have access to a 24/7 local customer support team, so throughout the whole process they always feel empowered but also supported,” Sargant said.
