Spread the love

Melco Resorts & Entertainment is delighted to continue its tradition of celebrating Mid-Autumn Festival with the local community for the 13th consecutive year. In the month leading up to the festival, over 90 Melco volunteer participants devoted 177 hours to the local community, spreading love and festive joy to 330 community members and those in need through more than 10 activities. Via the collective efforts of the Company and its NGO community partners, the team positively impacted the lives of beneficiaries encompassing elderly individuals and children from low-income families and those with special needs.

Specifically, this year, Melco encouraged volunteers to join the festive activities with their children to highlight the importance of teaching positive values to the next generation, namely by caring for people around us through the act of volunteering. The initiative also enabled cherished family bonding time for Melco’s volunteers and their children. Among the activities were popular mooncake-making workshops, Mid-Autumn lantern arts and craft workshops, and visits to elderlies and children with special needs.

During the team’s visit to Pou Tai Integrated Service Center for the Elderly, Ms. Bella Vong, Vice President of Table Games of Melco Resorts & Entertainment, said, “We are delighted to spend this meaningful, festive time of the year with the community. The Melco team exemplifies the spirit of selflessness and compassion by embodying the true essence of the Mid-Autumn Festival through volunteering. We aim not only to bring joy and companionship to the lives of our beneficiaries, but also to inspire others, including our next generation, to appreciate the importance of giving back and fostering compassion.”
