Majestic Whale Encounters began as a unique whale swim tour operator with a very limited number of spots on their small group tours to Tonga. Due to the increasing trend of many seeking more meaningful and once-in-a-lifetime travel experiences, Majestic Whale Encounters has been able to grow its offering to over six different countries offering these exclusives experiences to even more travellers.
“It is truly special to see how much we’ve grown from operating as a small provider to now being able to extend our tours to new destinations and offering unique experiences to more travellers”, said Carmen Ellis, founder of Majestic Whale Encounters of the 10-year anniversary. “At the heart of all we do is to provide an unforgettable travel experience that not only educates but inspires whilst leaving minimal environmental impact, and to think we have achieved this, is very rewarding.”
As a small travel operator, the company was at great risk during the pandemic and risked losing everything, but instead the team were able to successfully pivot. While waiting for borders to reopen, the company released a children’s book series, The Ocean Tales Children’s book which has to date sold 50,000 copies worldwide. This initiative helps to continue Majestic Whale Encounter’s mission to educate the globe about the importance of caring for the natural environment, even to the smallest of adventurers.
Each of Majestic Whale Encounter’s tours offers a unique and one-of-a-kind experience as guests have the opportunity to deeply connect with the natural environment and uncover its natural beauty. This lies at the core of Majestic Whale Encounter’s mission as they strive to raise awareness for responsible travel and respect the world in which we live.
As a testament to their great success over the past ten years, Majestic Whale Encounters was voted in the top two finalists of Australia’s Favourite Family Business Awards hosted by Kochie.
