Next week 10,000 music lovers from across Australia will converge in the Simpson Desert to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the world’s most remote music festival, the Birdsville Big Red Bash.
The stacked lineup includes: ICEHOUSE, John Williamson, Hoodoo Gurus, Human Nature, Pete Murray, The Angels, The Waifs, and Kate Ceberano, among others. More than just a music festival, the Bash is a family-friendly, dog-friendly, inclusive desert community, with true blue Aussie activities including:
- Big Blue Day world record attempt for diabetes research.
- Bashville Drag Race for the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS).
- Nutbush World Record Attempt in tribute to Tina Turner – as well as special Tina Turner Tribute performances
- Dunny Door Painting student art exhibition.
- Doggie Desert Dress Up Day.
- Sunrise yoga, air guitar championships, camel rides, sand dune surfing and more!
