Saudi Arabia has recently announced a partnership with Haichang Ocean Park, Asia’s most significant ocean park operator, to develop the first large-scale ocean park in the country. The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by the Ministry of Investment in Saudi Arabia and Haichang Ocean Park to develop various location-based entertainment venues across Saudi Arabia.

According to Mr Qu Cheng, the Executive Director of Haichang Ocean Park, the company aims to partner with sovereign entities and the private sector to develop multiple parks and resorts of different scales that best suit market segmentation. He added that the vast country and multiple megacities built throughout the Kingdom provide the ideal foundation for Haichang to achieve its growth strategies.

With the government’s support, Haichang Ocean Park is expected to play a vital role in enhancing Saudi Arabia’s tourism industry and promoting the country as a major leisure destination.
