In a major technological advancement, Etihad Airways has successfully completed its transition to the Amadeus Altéa Passenger Service System (PSS). The seamless switch to Amadeus Altéa marks a new era of the guest experience for Etihad customers, offering greater flexibility and control over their travel bookings and management.
As part of its 20th-anniversary celebrations, the airline has launched a flash sale on etihad.com, offering 20% discounts on all flights until Tuesday 14 March midnight GST, using promo code EYFLASH20. This move comes as a part of the airline’s ongoing efforts to upgrade its digital experience and offer its customers greater flexibility and control over their journey.
Amadeus Altéa is a travel technology suite that offers a faster and simpler check-in and boarding process. With this system, Etihad Airways customers can use all online services on etihad.com, the mobile app, and through their travel agent, including flight booking, check-in, upgrades, and GuestSeat redemption bookings.
The move to Amadeus Altéa was the largest IT project undertaken by Etihad Airways in the last decade, with more than 100 IT processes moved over and over 6,000 colleagues trained to use the new system. The transition was planned and rehearsed meticulously, with scrupulous testing at every stage, and every element was executed flawlessly.
