Centara Hotels & Resorts, Thailand’s leading hotel operator, will be showcasing its latest expansion plans and exciting updates at this year’s ITB Berlin. Celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, Centara has firmly established itself as a top hotel operator in Thailand, with an expanding global portfolio. This year alone, the company has plans to open six new properties, including its first hotel in Japan, Centara Grand Hotel Osaka.
As part of its long-term vision to become one of the world’s top 100 hotel operators by 2027, Centara is focusing on diverse development opportunities in ASEAN countries, joint ventures in China, and growth in the Middle East. The company also has an eye on investment opportunities in key global gateway cities that match its objectives and aspirations. This year, Centara expects to sign 10 new hotels, including properties in Thailand, Vietnam, and Qatar.
Centara’s personalised luxury brand, Centara Reserve, will also expand further across the globe, with projects in the planning stages in Hua Hin, Krabi, and the Maldives. The group is committed to undertaking every aspect of its development in a responsible and sustainable way, with plans to eliminate single-use plastic by 2025 and achieve Global Sustainable Tourism Council certification for all properties by the same year.
Thirayuth Chirathivat, CEO of Centara Hotels & Resorts, expressed his excitement for the company’s return to ITB Berlin, stating, “We look forward to meeting with all our esteemed industry partners and creating lasting relationships that will stimulate the growth of travel, tourism and hospitality all around the world.”
Centara will be exhibiting at ITB Berlin from 7-9 March 2023, with a main booth in Hall 26B, Stand 223, and a dedicated booth for its resorts in the Maldives, at Hall 5.2A, Stand 106. To learn more about Centara Hotels & Resorts, visit their website at www.centarahotelsresorts.com.
