Melco Resorts & Entertainment prioritizes the safety, health, and wellbeing of people – including of colleagues, guests and partners. In 2022, Melco continued its efforts in actively promoting Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) across its properties through 300 internal training sessions and activities for over 12,000 colleague participants.
The Company collaborated with the Macau Labour Affairs Bureau (DSAL) to conduct an array of OSH activities including health and fitness seminars, roadshows, game booths, an online quiz competition and related workshops for colleagues.
With its continued focus on employee safety engagement and promotions, Melco achieved a reduction in the rate of employee injury frequency year on year. In alignment with DSAL, the Company also achieved a 99.5% completion rate in the government organized Hotel and Catering Safety Card Training Program with the aim to strengthen safety awareness of employees across the industry.
Mr. David Sisk, Chief Operating Officer – Macau Resorts of Melco, said, “The safety of our colleagues, guests and contractors is of paramount importance. Melco’s OSH Policy which was established in 2008 is a testament to our continued pledge to the maintenance of safety and health standards across our resorts. We are pleased that our targeted implementation of the OSH promotion and awareness activities in alignment with the Labour Affairs Bureau were warmly received and supported by our colleagues. We look forward to hosting more dedicated initiatives in the coming years to reinforce the importance of OSH to our colleagues and the community.”
