Terrace Bar at Sheraton Melbourne Hotel opens tonight – a stylish new rooftop garden overlooking the vibrant city lights and iconic laneways of Melbourne’s ‘Paris end’ of Collins Street. Set amongst lush greenery and featuring fine wines, curated cocktails and an innovative menu of share plates – the new social space brings a timeless European-inspired bar experience to the city.
A gin pop-up in collaboration with Fever-Tree and local artisan spirit distillers, Patient Wolf, Poor Tom’s and Four Pillars, will serve up a menu of bespoke specialised spritzers and long drinks specifically designed by the Fever-Tree mixologists. From customised Gin and Tonics garnished with citrus, wild raspberry and mint through to creative high-ball mixes blended with Elderflower, Corazon Blanco and Marie Brizard Triple Sec – the drinks are designed to entice and delight the palette and are perfect to enjoy on a warm summer evening.
The share-style menu, curated by Sheraton Melbourne’s in-house Chef Migo Razon is composed of bar-style snacks designed to share. Heroing fresh local ingredients including oysters, tiger prawns and spanner crab infused with Filipino influences, the food is light, fresh and designed to complement the drinks menu.
“The dishes on the menu are inspired by a vision to harmoniously combine our cooking styles and techniques with the best of what the season has to offer. We’ve used fresh artisan produce to create a light and refreshing series of dishes that are perfect for sharing with friends and loved ones alongside a revitalising spritz from our drinks list”, said Migo Razon.
Located on level 3 of the luxury 5-star Sheraton Melbourne Hotel at the picturesque end of Collins Street, the Terrace Bar design is inspired by the London rooftop bars, Parisian cafés and Italian garden bistros. Lush with greenery the space reflects timeless European style infused with a contemporary Melbourne feel. A mix of bar seating, high bar tables, bench seating and intimate bar tables that cosy up to two fireplaces (for the cooler months) create an inviting space for locals to gather and absorb the best of the city.
Coupled with the first-class anticipatory service that resonates with the worldwide Sheraton brand, Terrace Bar is set to attract locals, hotel guests and international visitors.
The Terrace Bar is open Wednesday to Saturday from 3.30pm to 10.00pm with live acoustic entertainment by local artists scheduled every Friday.
