Melco Resorts & Entertainment is honored to be an official event partner of Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO)’s Light up Macao 2022 and its Dazzling Winter themed celebrations to be hosted across the city between December 3, 2022 and January 1, 2023. Melco’s support for the event aims to help promote economic revival and diversification in Macau, as well as the city’s status as a safe, world-class tourism destination. A press conference was hosted by MGTO today at Carmo Fair in Taipa to announce details of this year’s event.
To support Light Up Macao 2022, Melco will be presenting spectacular indoor and outdoor light shows and displays across its City of Dreams, Studio City and Altira Macau properties, including at City of Dreams’ newly opened multidimensional and sensational art and retail destination, The Showroom. Locals and visitors alike are invited to enjoy Melco’s complimentary immersive visual art experience as it illuminates the city’s evening skies and heightens the festive spirit.
In 2015, MGTO launched the first edition of the Macao Light Festival which is held annually in December at various locations in Macau Peninsula and on the Islands. The event program includes projection mapping, light installations, interactive games and various other activities, and aims to draw visitors to different districts for the city’s appreciation by night and to learn about local culture and history from innovative angles as shaped by light artistry.
