The Welch St Overflow, which can be booked online from Thursday, 20 October 2022 at 9 AM (AWST), is conveniently located within the town of Exmouth and will be available for bookings from 7 – 29 April 2023 with a minimum stay of four nights.

As excitement builds surrounding this once-in-a-lifetime astronomical phenomenon, the Shire of Exmouth, Tourism Western Australia, and the Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation (JTSI) are working closely together to deliver an unforgettable experience for visitors and residents alike.
We are aware of the increasing pressure of planning your trip to the Ningaloo Eclipse and are happy to release the first 500 sites to fully self-contained travellers this week. We are looking forward to experiencing the event with visitors and asking them to plan ahead as best as possible. Arrival without securing an accommodation option is strongly discouraged by all stakeholders.

Shire President Darlene Allston

To ensure accommodation options are available 500 fully self-contained campsites will be released initially and offer an ideal accommodation option for visitors travelling by road. The unpowered sites are perfect for camper trailers, motorhomes, and campervans and will accommodate travellers with dogs (controlled on a leash at all times).
Bookings will be available via the Shire of Exmouth website www.exmouth.wa.gov.au under Ningaloo Eclipse.

Whether you’re a seasoned astronomer or an avid nature lover looking for an exciting adventure, Exmouth is sure to deliver an unforgettable experience!
