The first of a new multi-sensory animated projection show series – Night Light: Continuum is being hosted at Prahran Square for 5-nights from 28 September to 2 October.Continuum celebrates the passage of time from past, to present, to a bright future for Prahran.

This new projection light program is being delivered to bring some of Stonnington’s most recognisable landmarks to life, starting with the historic building at 303 Chapel Street, formerly housing the Big Store and currently above Coles.

Lighting up from dusk till 9pm each night, the 8-minute show will include low level sound and will be played on rotation allowing visitors to enjoy a special moment of retrospection before heading off to dinner or to explore the precinct.

City of Stonnington Mayor Cr. Jami Klisaris said that this projection activation will be one of a series that will literally shine a spotlight on Stonnington’s most recognisable public spaces.

“We’re keen to highlight Stonnington in a way that’s never been done before – using projection lighting, design and photography, and to assist with business recovery by attracting new audiences to our precincts.

“Enhancing our public spaces and offering unique immersive experiences for our community and visitors to enjoy is a key priority for the City of Stonnington”, she said.

Businesses or hospitality venues in the Prahran Square area are being encouraged to take advantage of this event by adjusting opening hours or co-promoting with this activation.

This program is made possible by the support of the Victorian Government.
