Global Travel MediaExecutive and Personal Assistants are often overlooked and forgotten when it comes to the success of the business, but these roles are vital – and Admin Avenues is here to make that known.
Candice Burningham has been the Executive Assistant to some of the most powerful people in Media including a Dragon from Dragons Den, the CEO of BBC News and even an AFL President. She has seen the best and worst of the industry and identified a huge gap in the market.
“The roles of administrative staff are so often overlooked but they are vital to businesses. There needs to be good staff, good money and a place for the right people for the right roles,” said Candice Burningham, founder of Admin Avenues.
After 20 years in the industry across multiple continents, Candice identified a need in the market for a specialised search engine where job seekers could find great admin roles, and employers could find great admin candidates.
“I saw the gap and knew we could help great employers find great admin staff, and vice versa. It’s about time that was made much easier than it is.”, Candice Burningham says.
Enter: Admin Avenue, the bespoke executive admin creating a job board website. The site allows candidates who are serious about wanting a career in this industry to find established prequalified roles.
And it also saves time for companies and recruitment agencies who are hiring for these by narrowing the pool of candidates. ‘I think Recruitment agencies will be glad to no longer get random CV’s from unqualified applicants’, laughed Candice.
Admin Avenues is vowing to change the way recruitment operates for admin professionals, as well as shift the perception of just how important these roles are – and this can only be a good thing.
“We need to stop overlooking these roles. It’s an amazing role and a niche skill that companies all around the world.”, Candice states.
Admin Avenues launched on 6 May 2022 – which is also known as National Professionals Day. You can find out more here.
