Laptop On Bed Near The BalconyFlashback to 29 November 2021, when Newcastle-headquartered Alloggio Group Limited floated on the Australian Stock Exchange…just three days after the latest variant of the Covid virus (Omicron) landed on Australian shores.
An auspicious launch onto the ASX, followed by CEO and Founder Will Creedon breaking the bell-rope signalling the opening of trade on the day.
Fast forward to today, and even against this grey backdrop, Alloggio has continued to make attractive acquisitions in popular Australian holiday destinations and doesn’t look like stopping anytime soon.
CEO and Founder of Alloggio Will Creedon, says “We’ve not let the grass grow under our feet. After all, how many companies float on the ASX three days after a new Covid variant arrives on our shores, and then continue to make good on their Prospectus promise and get cracking on crystalising strategic acquisitions without drawing breath. Five acquisitions in fact, from North Queensland to Victoria, bring the total Alloggio holiday property portfolio to circa 1800, all located within 180 minutes from international (and presumptive international) airports.
With the recent announcement of Australia opening to the rest of the (fully vaccinated) world from 21 February this year1, tourism operators across the country are gearing up to greet international visitors.
Mr Creedon said, “We need to be ready for the rest of the world to land on our shores in seven days, and we need to provide those travellers with what they’re looking for. Safe, stunning holiday destinations that Australia has in spades and are ready to show off after a tourism hiatus lasting almost 24 months.
The call to action is for all tourism operators to collaborate on holiday itineraries, local offerings, activities and experiences to travellers before they step foot on their aircraft to come to Australia. The competition will be fierce and we need to hunt as a pack.
Alloggio’s in-house scalable cloud-based technology platform links the rest of the world to its vast accommodation offerings via its online marketplace – winningholidays.com.au which supports all of its localised brands, such as Best of Magnetic, Noosa Holiday Rentals, Coffs Harbour Holiday Accommodation, Port Stephens Accommodation, Jervis Bay Rentals, Mollymook Milton Holidays, Verve Mornington Peninsula and Great Ocean Road Holidays.
Mr Creedon said, “The decision to re-welcome international travellers to Australia has been made, what we make of it, is up to us.”
