Mardi Gras
Starting January 7, 2022, the iconic Mardi Gras Twelfth Night Party will return to Downtown Pensacola and kick off in Seville Quarter at the intersection of Jefferson St. and Government St. The city’s largest street party will feature live music, food and drinks and free public access to the vibrantly decorated Mardi Gras floats, making it the must-attend event of the season.
February 26, 2022, will see the most extravagant parade of the season with the Pensacola Grand Mardi Gras Parade beginning on Palafox and Garden Street. But the celebrations don’t stop there, on February 27, 2022, the Krewe of Wrecks 2022 Mardi Gras Parade kicks off on Pensacola Beach.
Sun Belt Conference Basketball Championship
Pensacola is set to host the Sun Belt Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championship games in 2022. From March 2 – 7, 2022 all 12 universities will compete in Pensacola in the single-elimination tournament with two winners earning an automatic bid into the NCAA tournament.
