Vikand Selected for Medical Management Services by Tradewind Voyages

Vikand Medical Solutions, LLC.—a global maritime medical operations and public health provider—has been appointed by Tradewind Voyages — to manage the medical operations onboard the Golden Horizon – the world’s largest square-rigged sailing vessel and a near replica of the iconic 1913-built ocean vessel, France II.

The appointment was made by Brodosplit Ship Management, who manages Golden Horizon on behalf of Tradewind Voyages.

“The opportunity to work with such a classic vessel as the Golden Horizon is inspiring for all of us at VIKAND. We are honoured to be managing all aspects of onboard medical care and to support regulatory compliance with Tradewind Voyages to ensure Golden Horizon’s successful launch,” says Tom Brady, Vikand’s Vice President, Global Partner Relationship.

Vikand’s services encompass the total aspect of healthcare at sea: medical staff, 24/7 dedicated shoreside medical support, policies and procedures, regulatory compliance, case and claims management, medical escorts, formulary and supplies, biomedical equipment management, public health consulting and proven strategies for proactive health management, including mental wellness.
