Smiles, sun and sand – that’s what was on the itinerary last month as TruTravels welcomed its first travellers back on the road after more than 500 days. The youth-travel and social adventure specialist kicked off its relaunched European tours with an 11-day ‘Croatia Sail & Explore’ sailing and land adventure, which saw 25 excited travellers island-hop Croatia by land and sea.

Starting and ending in Split, travellers boarded their own private yacht to embark on an adventure along the Croatian coast, docking in hotspots such as Dubrovnik and Hvar. Days were spent swimming in coves, enjoying ‘floatilla’ boat parties and visiting UNESCO world heritage sites such as Mljet National Park and Plitvice Lakes, while nights included exploring local towns like Korcula and lapping up the nightlife in Hvar.

Mark Pope, co-founder of TruTravels, says it’s been energising to see travellers back on tour and enjoying great social adventures once again, and he can’t wait to be able to welcome Aussie travellers on its tours in 2022.

Starting in Split, travellers will sail south to Dubrovnik, stopping to swim in the sea at Brac Island, explore Mljet National Park and party until the sun comes up in Hvar.   • Croatia Sail & Explore –  For travellers looking for the best of both worlds, this 11-day land and sea trip combines sailing and sunsets with adventure and action. Hopping aboard their own boat, which will be home for the next week, travellers will island hop around the stunning Croatian coastline, exploring by sea before stepping onto dry land to enjoy an epic road trip. Visiting Krka National park, days will be spent visiting waterfalls, sleeping in lakeside huts and partying on beaches. Priced from $2,430pp for an 11-day trip.

  • Greece Sailing Adventure – Step aboard a 60ft boat for the ultimate Greek sailing experience. Highlights include kayaking in the clear waters in Paxos, snorkelling in hidden caves in Vrika beach and visiting the Instagram-ready Blue Lagoon in Syvota. From sunset BBQ’s to evening’s out exploring the local town, this Greece Sailing Adventure explores the very best of Corfu. Price from $2,240pp for an eight-day trip.

  • Greece Island Hopper – This epic nine-day adventure has travellers immersing themselves in incredible hotspots and history as they island hop from Athens to Santorini. Travellers will visit beach clubs, taste wine alongside sunsets in Santorini and spend sunny days enjoying beachfront prosecco picnics. Price from $2,330pp for a nine-day trip.
