With today’s inaugural Taste of The Ghan fully sold out, Journey Beyond, the operator of The Ghan, is excited to announce the addition of two new departure dates—12 November and 26 November—bringing the initial four departures to six. Available dates now include October 22, November 5, November 12, November 19, and November 26.
Peter Egglestone, Chief Commercial Officer for Journey Beyond stated, “We’ve never hosted a local journey quite like this before and we think we have something special on offer. In fact, this journey has been so well-received that we’ve decided to add more departure dates to accommodate market and guest response.”
The Taste of The Ghan, an incredible epicurean adventure, takes guests on a single-day regional journey towards the world-renowned Clare Valley. It’s thusly named because guests enjoy the thrilling experience of the train, a two-course gourmet breakfast on board, Off-Train Experiences with wine tastings and a four-course gourmet lunch at local Clare Valley wineries, and an assortment of sweets on the return journey to Adelaide along with wine pairings throughout the day.
With border closures and Covid-19 travel restrictions, we haven’t been able to do what we do best – and love to do,” Mr. Egglestone continued. “This is a true reflection of just how ready South Australians are to travel again.”
Our Clare Valley partner vineyards include Pikes Wines/Slate at Pikes, O’Leary Walker Wines, Jeanneret Wines, and Bush DeVine at Pauletts.
