Holy Duck!, masters of modern Chinese cuisine, are giving diners the opportunity to take a journey through the provinces of China with a newregional dinner series, rolling out over the next few months.

The regional dinner series will focus on a different province of china, kicking off with Sichuan (Feb/Mar), Cantonese (Apr/May), Hunan (June/July), and finally Shanghainese (Aug/Sept).

The series will offer up a select number of specially curated dishes that highlight the distinct characteristics of the region’s food. The first menu is inspired by Sichuan with dishes including: steamed chicken with chilli sauce ($22); lightly battered shrimp, stir fried with dry long chillies, Sichuan pepper, celery and broad-bean sauce ($28); twice cooked pork belly with leek, long fresh red chillies, black bean with homemade chilli sauce ($24); and stir fired green beans, chicken mince, yellow pickles and shallots ($19).

The other provinces that will be featured in the next few months will be the Guangdong province, also known for the refined flavours of Cantonese cuisine. Then the travelling feast moves to the hot and spicey dishes produced by Hunan cuisine, and finally the unique flavours of Shanghainese food will be served up.

So get together a group and take flight to Holy Duck! in Chippendale’s trendy Kensington Street for a travelling feast through China.
