Skål International, represented by Daniela Otero, CEO of the organisation is attending the second day of the World Travel Market London 2021 and has participated at the UNWTO, WTTC & WTM Ministers’ Summit, in a session that has focused on two main themes: security and sustainability in the global tourism industry.

Skål International is honoured to work together with the UNWTO and the WTTC in rebuilding the tourism industry.
In the words of Zurab Pololikashvili, Secretary-General World Tourism Organisation “Being here together in London shows that the world is moving again. Falling back to the ‘old normal’ and missing this opportunity to transform our sector, is not an option”.
It was interesting to hear the different positions during the session. Julia Simpson, CEO, World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) said: “Investors themselves are putting pressure on the companies for their green credentials”.
Daniela Otero, CEO of Skål International said: “It is clear how important government policies will be to encourage the private sector to drive investment. Also the commitment that companies must have to continue doing business and generating employment by focusing on two pillars: the sustainability of destinations and the safety of tourists.”
