The Seychelles Minister of Foreign Affairs and Tourism, Mr Sylvestre Radegonde, has welcomed the latest move by the UK in moving the Seychelles off the Red list at 4am on the 11th Oct 2021 relaxing travel restrictions for their citizens, which will allow persons double vaccinated against COVID-19 to travel to the Seychelles without restrictions other than a home test on their return.

As Oct 11th travelers showing proof of a complete course of vaccination with vaccines recommended by the European Medicines Agency (Pfizer / Comirnaty, Moderna, AstraZeneca / Vaxzeveria / Covishield and Janssen vaccines) two weeks prior to travel, and can show a negative RT-PCR on departure may now travel out of the UK to the Seychelles and will also not be required to self-isolate on their return to the UK. Unvaccinated travelers will, however, still have to abide by a set of tougher restrictions imposed by the UK authorities.
