Nikolaos Lekkas, Director of Culinary of NUO Hotel Beijing, is proud to present the innovative Scone Bar, offering seven delicious flavours of housemade scones made with sweet, fresh and delicate fillings to delight your afternoon.

The scone was once described by Eileen Chang, also known as Zhang Ailing, an acclaimed Chinese writer in the 20th century, as being smoother than cake, light and not overly sweet. As part of a traditional English afternoon tea, the perfectly tender, flaky scone is luscious with a hint of sweetness and can also be served savoury to suit everyone’s palate.

The Scone Bar will offer three savoury flavours and four sweet ones. The sweet scones will be served with the classic indulgent clotted cream.

Savour a leisurely English-style afternoon with a bite of a freshly-baked, hand-crafted crumbly scone and a cup of hot tea at NUO Hotel Beijing’s Lobby Lounge with the latest Scone Bar.
