The Skyway is squeaky clean, the Railway is ready to roll, and our world class customer service is at its best – Scenic World is preparing to welcome visitors once again from Friday October 22.The highly anticipated announcement marks the end to a four-month site closure in response to the NSW lockdown, with Scenic World to operate four days a week (Friday to Monday) from October 22.
Dinosaur Valley will also return from Friday November 26, bringing the Jurassic rainforest to life with dozens of animatronic dinosaurs until February 27. Everyone’s favourite Dinosaur Rangers will be back in action to make the experience one to remember for the whole family, with a number of new attractions in the pipeline when Dinosaur Valley returns.
Scenic World is celebrating the occasion with a Back to the Blueys special, including free kids entry with every adult pass until November 1. Visitors can also save a further $25 with a Dine and Discover NSW voucher, now being accepted until June 30, 2022.
Scenic World’s natural attractions and open air rides will continue to operate as usual, with a four square metre rule in place to meet physical distancing guidelines. In line with the latest advice from NSW Health, Scenic World will re-open to fully vaccinated guests, with visitors to provide proof of their vaccination status upon arrival.
Scenic World is also continuing to work alongside health and safety experts so you can focus on having fun, with regular rides cleaning and hand sanitising stations in place, and enhanced COVID safety measures including a fully vaccinated workforce and mandatory masks for staff and guests in some settings. In line with advice from NSW Health, entry will be limited to visitors from Greater Sydney until October 25.
Scenic World Managing Director, Anthea Hammon, said she was thrilled to welcome visitors back to the Blue Mountains and encouraged Sydneysiders to get out and explore their backyard once restrictions ease.
“Lockdown has deeply affected us all in profound ways and there is no better time to reconnect with family and loved ones in nature,” she said. “It has been a challenging few months but we are excited to come back with renewed energy and focus to continue delivering our world class customer experience.”
Ms Hammon also made a special mention of the resilience of Scenic World staff and acknowledged their tenacity over the past two years.
“Our staff are the lifeblood of our business and I am privileged to lead a passionate and enthusiastic team who have continued to adapt and thrive through the most challenging circumstances. I am forever grateful for their continued support,” she said.
Tickets for the Scenic Pass and Dinosaur Valley are now on sale at www.scenicworld.com.au. Tickets cost $27.90 for kids aged 3-15 and $49.90 for adults. Tickets are available online only.
