Followed by its efforts in supporting Sotheby’s, the world-renowned auction house, in their NFT Auctions preview in June, Samsung partners with the first edition of Digital Art Fair Asia this month to exhibit world-class new media artworks while delivering unparalleled NFT art curation experiences.

The exhibition is the first large-scale ART TECH experiential exhibition centering on new media art, NFT Crypto Art and immersive art. From now until October 22, the exhibition is held in a 20,000-square-foot venue in Central with 5 art zones themed IMMERSIVE, PRESTIGE, PIONEER, NEW MEDIA and VIRTUAL REALITY, presenting high-tech art pieces from 40 international and local artists via both physical and virtual mediums. Among the line-up is the NFT series “Machine Hallucinations – Space: Metaverse” auctioned by Sotheby’s, which leads the audience into a mysterious fantasy world in an infinity mirrored room featuring pictures of human exploration in space. The series made a stunning sale at HK$39 million upon the exhibition opening.
Technology combines with art to reveal breath-taking details
Glows in the Night, the latest video artwork by Chinese artist Yang Yongliang, is one of the highlights in the PRESTIGE ZONE. Displayed on two 75-inch Samsung Neo QLED, the art piece is an elegant scenic ink painting from the distance, while more enriched artistic details among the mountains and rocks can be found with a closer look.
Equipped with the brand-new Mini LED, Samsung Neo QLED is only 1/40 the height of a conventional LED. Combined with Quantum Matrix Technology, more LED components can be packed closely together given the same screen area, producing more precise and delicate details in dark and bright areas. The Quantum HDR10+ technology delivers unmatched performance in dim and bright image display, hence truthfully presenting to the audience the artist’s creative intention in layered, breath-taking details. In addition, adopting the Infinity One design, the Neo QLED 8K family features a 0.8mm nearly bezel-less screen to create a more focused, immersive digital art experience.
Samsung The Frame showcases a series of masterpieces
Samsung The Frame is another display model used to showcase art pieces at the exhibition. Resembling an art piece itself, The Frame’s flush-to-the-wall design comes with customizable magnetic bezels in various colors, turning the exhibition hall into a classy digital art gallery.
