No one knows you like your Pulse | Artificial Intelligence (AI)-powered app redefines the way to manage health

Following its regional launch in 2019, Pulse – designed as a health buddy on the go – is now officially launched in Hong Kong, providing useful real-time health and wellness information with timely support. Priscilla Ng, Chief Customer and Marketing Officer of Prudential, said, “Prudential has always been at the forefront of the industry in InsurTech innovations and applications. Leveraging cutting-edge AI technology, Pulse will enable and assist citizens to proactively manage their health needs across the three key phases of their health journey – “prevention”, “postponement” and “protection”. Through Pulse, we will be putting an accessible and affordable health service into the hands of every person, by combining human expertise with the power of technology. Pulse can empower users to take control of their personal health and well-being anytime, anywhere. Without leaving home, users can take advantage of the 24/7 self-service to access useful health and wellness insights and information based on their personal needs.”

Catering to market needs in Hong Kong, Pulse is equipped with four user-friendly features in the initial phase of the launch to help people fight against the virus:

  • Symptom Checker* (powered by Babylon, a UK-based healthcare technology and services company)
Enter your symptoms on the AI-powered chatbot to get fast, localised, clinically validated information and recommended next steps to take, right from your mobile phone. As it acts as a “digital-first” gateway for patients when seeking care, the Symptom Checker can also give you a better understanding of worrying symptoms and direct you where best to seek further advice from healthcare professionals.
  • Healthcheck* (powered by Babylon, a UK-based healthcare technology and services company)

Answer a digital questionnaire about your lifestyle, diet, mental health, medical history and family history to create your own health report and get practical insights into your long-term disease risks, the changes you can make to reduce your risk and stay healthy. Build your Digital Twin – a realistic 3D representation of your body – and explore your body from the inside out.

  • Hospital Guide

Get information about Hong Kong hospitals and real-time Accident and Emergency (A&E) waiting time to facilitate any hospital visits.

  • Air Pollution Index

Learn about the Air Quality Health Index of your surroundings as well as other districts to help plan your outdoor activities

More new features will be coming soon. Please stay tuned for updates.

*Symptom Checker and Healthcheck are not intended for detection or diagnosis of diseases. In addition, both Symptom Checker and Healthcheck are not suitable for pregnant women, children under the age of 18 years, and users with long term medical conditions or disabilities.
