Travellers Choice is adding a distinctly human touch to its 2019 conference in Adelaide, with the national network today unveiling a simple but powerful theme: ‘Our People, Our Future’.

Managing Director Christian Hunter says that while technology is crucial to today’s travel booking process, strong relationships still provide the foundations upon which every successful travel business stands.

“At this year’s conference we will explore practical, effective and innovative ways Travellers Choice members can drive business success by creating and nurturing meaningful relationships, not just with their customers, but with employees, suppliers and partners,” says Hunter.

“It’s everything from forging strong connections and cultivating customer loyalty to developing leadership skills and inspiring the people you work with.”

One person who has no problem connecting with an audience is Tim Campbell, who this year will perform the Master of Ceremonies role for the first time at the Travellers Choice Conference.

One of Australia’s most versatile entertainers, Campbell has not only featured in a long list of Australia’s top dramas, he’s also hosted some of the country’s most popular events (including Carols by Candlelight), stared on stage in shows such as Wicked and Hairspray, and released two ARIA charting albums featuring classic 1970s and 1980s dance floor hits.

Hunter says Campbell – who has hosted events for a wide range of leading companies, including Crown Casino Australia, Coca-Cola and Nestle – will bring a fresh perspective to the conference.

“The MC role is vital to the success of any event because it really sets the tone,” says Christian. “Tim is always a warm and dynamic presence on stage, and he has a rare ability to engage and energise an audience. I looked forward to welcoming him to the Travellers Choice family.”

The 2019 Travellers Choice Conference will take place at the Adelaide Convention Centre from 15-17 November. Delegates will stay at the five-star InterContinental Hotel, which sits on the banks of the River Torrens, adjacent to the Convention Centre and directly opposite the Adelaide Oval, one of the world’s most picturesque sporting venues.
