Ovolo Hotels has always liked a bit good clean fun and has always been committed to providing guests with the highest possible standards of cleaning. In light of recent world events, the designer hotel collection across Australia and Hong Kong is going full OC/DC – Obsessive Commitment to Deep Cleaning.

OC/DC has been developed to bring a little F.U.N. (Fun. Unconventional. Never Boring) and incorporate musical undertones, in true Ovolo fashion. So, whether that’s rockin’ out on temperature checks or rollin’ out the hand sanitiser, guests can fully relax knowing that there will be 10 squeaky clean rules and regulations which have been implemented, and that they will be in good (thoroughly washed) hands.

  1. Don’t Stand So Close To Me – Though not the preference (hugs are definitely preferred), all staff will remain 1.5 metres apart for the guest’s comfort.
  2. Space Oddity – Breathe easy, because each guest room will remain unoccupied for at least 24 hours between guests.
  3. Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again? – What Rockstar is without their mask and gloves? All staff will be wearing masks and gloves to ensure the lowest risk of contamination.
  4. I Feel Fine – Ovolo staff will double check with all guests to ensure they are feeling 100% healthy and symptom-free.
  5. Right Here Waiting – All restaurant buffets are temporarily closed, however guests can still enjoy ordering their meals the old school way.
  6. So Fresh, So Clean – Ovolo will double up on cleaning and disinfecting both guest rooms and public spaces, so walking in will feel as fresh as newly cleaned bedsheets. Hand sanitiser and disinfectant wipes will also be within easy reach all can be kept clean.
  7. U Can’t Touch This – All seemingly unreachable surfaces (those pesky ‘high touch’ surfaces like the tops of closets) will be kept clean, in addition to all decorative furnishings will be removed from the rooms to minimise any risk.
  8. Mo Money, Mo Problems – Contactless payment is available everywhere so leave the cash at home.
  9. Hot Stuff – All Ovolo staff will have their temperatures checked before starting work, so guests (and the rest of the team) can have extra peace of mind.
  10. With A Little Help From My Friends – All Ovolo staff have been thorough hygiene training to ensure the highest standards of sanitation. All guests will be encouraged to follow and listen to staff when needed to keep everyone shiny, happy, and healthy.
