Norwegian Viva’s entrance is no ordinary event. It marks the continuation of NCL’s groundbreaking Prima Class, a series that has already redefined maritime luxury. The ceremony, graced by over 1,500 guests, occurred in PortMiami’s LEED® Gold Certified terminal, underscoring the company’s commitment to sustainability.

Her exceptional guest satisfaction scores since the August launch are a testament to our vision and our team’s dedication,” Sommer remarked.

The christening’s highlight was the traditional champagne bottle break over the hull by Luis Fonsi, the vessel’s godfather. Fonsi, a GRAMMY® Award-nominated artist known for hits like “Despacito,” symbolizes the vibrant energy Norwegian Viva promises to deliver. “It’s an honour to be part of this celebration, bringing a taste of Latin flair to this magnificent ship,” said Fonsi.

The evening’s entertainment showcased Miami’s diverse cultural tapestry. Performances by “Saturday Night Live” cast member Marcello Hernandez, Latin Pop Queen Paulina Rubio, and GRAMMY® nominee Pedro Capó provided guests a glimpse of the world-class entertainment that awaits on board.

Beginning December 15, 2023, Norwegian Viva will be homeport in San Juan, Puerto Rico, offering seven-day Caribbean voyages. Guests will explore tropical paradises without a single day at sea, with stops in the Virgin Islands, Antigua, Barbados, St. Lucia, St. Maarten, and St. Thomas.

In April 2024, the vessel will transition to Mediterranean and Greek Isles itineraries, offering an unmatched opportunity to experience Europe’s beauty and culture.
