The Globus family of brands, which includes Globus, Cosmos, Avalon Waterways and Monograms has announced that it will require proof of full COVID-19 vaccination to join any holiday in its portfolio as part of its Health & Safety Protocols, through 2022.

Joining other operators including Qantas, Virgin Australia, The Travel Corporation and others in announcing COVID-19 vaccination requirements for all domestic and international tours,Gai Tyrrell, managing director Australasia of the Globus family of brands said, “Our number one priority is and always will be, the health and safety of our guests and crew – this is a responsibility we take very seriously.”

She added, “Proof of a full COVID-19 vaccination is just another layer to our commitment of providing and assuring our guests a safe means of exploring the destinations they’ve been yearning to visit”, and, “We’ve made a conscious effort to announce this new prerequisite as soon as possible, to allow our guests and those with plans to travel, ample time to consider this new requirement.”

All Globus, Cosmos, Avalon Waterways, and Monograms travellers will need to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination, completed at least 14-days prior to embarkation and the Globus family of brands says it accepts vaccines authorized or approved by the World Health Organization (WHO), Centers for Disease Control (CDC), European Centre for Disease Prevention (ECDC) or an official government body.

Tyrrell also cited the company’s Peace of Mind Travel Plan, created during the pandemic to garner traveller confidence for new and displaced bookings, adding, “Should COVID-19 restrictions interfere with our guests’ travel plans, Globus family of brands’ complimentary Peace of Mind Travel Plan allows them the flexibility to reschedule to any future date, destination, itinerary or even, another brand in our travel portfolio – all without penalty,” said Tyrrell.
