Merlin is also backing the Government’s review of social distancing measures and as part of this is calling for the 1m+ rule to be scrapped post-June 21 under stage 4 of the proposed roadmap out of lockdown and as the vaccination roll-out ramps up.

Merlin Entertainments’ Divisional Director for Midway UK attractions, Mike Vallis, said: “We can’t wait to finally reopen on Monday May 17 and get back to doing what we do best – creating magical experiences for our guests. All our attractions are COVID-secure and we have a raft of safety precautions in place including pre-booking, temperature checks and capacity reductions.”
