To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, Melco Resorts & Entertainment recently hosted a patriotic music session as part of its Splendors of China Passport program. Melco was honored to invite Professor Xu Qing, a former Associate Professor of the People’s Liberation Army Academy of Art and Head Artistic Judge of Melco Star Youth Talent Competition 2021, to advocate a better understanding of Chinese history and culture to more than 70 management and non-management colleagues through patriotic songs. The session discussed the lyrics, poems and compositions of well-known patriotic melodies to explore various eras and historical milestones of the Communist Party of China’s 100-year history. Songs introduced included, among others, “My Country, My People”, “The Pearl of the Orient” and “Ode to Red Flag”.

Ms. Akiko Takahashi, Executive Vice President and Chief of Staff to Chairman & CEO,  Melco Resorts & Entertainment, said, “We are pleased to continue instilling patriotism and appreciation for the Motherland for colleagues through Melco’s unique Splendors of China Passport learning program. The music sharing session is just one of the many Splendors of China Passport activities available to help colleagues develop an advanced understanding of China’s success, history and culture. We look forward to implementing Splendors of China Passport to further inculcate a sense of national belonging for colleagues, as a journey of learning to build patriotism and pride through knowledge of Chinese history and culture.”

To support the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, Melco has prioritized national education and developed a vast array of programs aimed towards instilling national pride through education and awareness.
