In celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Founding of the Communist Party of China, Melco Resorts & Entertainment hosted the Melco Han Hero Chinese Knowledge Competition for colleagues at Studio City today. 
Under Melco’s signature Splendors of China learning program, the competition aims to instill patriotism and appreciation for the Motherland through strengthening colleagues’ Chinese cultural knowledge. Colleagues from 8 teams of different departments took part in the competition.
The event’s officiating guests Mr. Yang Yi, Deputy Director of the Economic Affairs Department of Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government; Ms. Irene Lou, representative of the Director of Cultural Affairs Bureau and Curator of Macau Museum; Mr. Wong Kin Mou, Head, Department of Educational Research and Planning, Education and Youth Development Bureau; Ms. Chan Kuan Chong, President of Macau Youth Education Promotion Association were welcomed by Dr. Kent Wong, Chief Advisor of Melco.
Ms. Akiko Takahashi, Executive Vice President and Chief of Staff to Chairman and CEO of Melco, said, “Melco has prioritized national education and developed a vast array of programs for the purpose of creating national pride. The Competition provides an effective platform for colleagues to enhance understanding and interest in Chinese culture and heritage, thereby increasing the sense of national belonging. We will continue to create programs to further build patriotism among our colleagues.”
Melco is committed to promoting patriotism among colleagues and the community. The Splendors of China is Melco’s nationalistic learning program launched in 2016 which focuses on China’s cultural heritage, economic policies, social systems and values. The program creates deeper insight for Melco colleagues and the broader community into understanding Chinese culture and appreciating the achievements of Macau’s mother country.
