Spread the love

Los Suenos Marriott Ocean & Golf Resort and Costa Rica Marriott Hacienda Belen are pleased to share a new menu of experiences that will allow guests to fully immerse themselves in the Pura Vida lifestyle of Costa Rica.

“Pura Vida,” translates to “pure or simple life,” and has become a significant part of Costa Rican culture. From the friendliness of the Costa Rican people, to the country’s ongoing environmental and sustainability efforts, Pura Vida is exhibited throughout Costa Rica in every aspect of life.

To encourage presentness, both properties have introduced a Taste of Place experience which includes pairing single-estate and single-region Organikos brand coffees with single-estate and single-region chocolates, all sourced in Costa Rica. The properties will also host honey tasting sessions featuring honey from across Costa Rica’s agricultural regions.

In addition to culinary experiences, both properties’ gift shops will feature works from Costa Rica’s finest woodworkers, showcasing how they create beauty from the resources around them. These artisan woodworkers will provide educational opportunities for visitors through live demonstrations of their craft and how they reclaim and use recycled wood for their products. With a mix of in-person workshops, now slated for 2021, guests will have the opportunity to learn the art of producing jewelry, folk art and other handcrafts using a mix of natural and recycled materials.

The health and safety of guests continues to be of the utmost importance to Los Suenos Marriott Ocean & Golf Resort and Costa Rica Marriott Hacienda Belen. As part of Marriott International, the properties have elevated their cleanliness practices and standards in accordance with the Marriott’s Global Cleanliness Council. In-person demonstrations and workshops will incorporate distancing measures and require the use of masks to ensure health and safety amongst participants. Guests may also be able to participate virtually from their rooms, poolside, or anywhere they prefer to relax on property.

“As we mapped out our on-property experiences for the new year, we wanted to bring the focus to the local culture and resources that surround both properties,” said Dennis Whitelaw, Area General Manager for Marriott in Costa Rica. “With the creation of our Taste of Place programming and additions to our retail stores, we hope to leave travelers enchanted with the destination and all it has to offer.”
