With Stay-at-Home orders lifted for the Bega Region yesterday and NSW School holidays kicking off, Reflections Holiday Parks across the South Coast are urging families to take advantage of the gorgeous Spring weather and get the kids out of the house for a fun holiday and whale watching bonanza.

Reflections Holiday Parks CEO Nick Baker said the lifting of Stay-at-Home orders for Bega yesterday was incredibly timely for the Reflections parks at Bermagui, Eden and Pambula with school holidays starting tomorrow and families desperate for some much-needed R&R.

Bermagui Park Manager Chris Donohue said everyone at the park was over the moon to be able to get back to business with quite a few bookings immediately made for next weekend.  “We have made 25 bookings so far since the announcement yesterday to 2:30pm today and the phones are still running hot,” Mr Donohue said.

“Bermagui is a perfect whale watching spot.  I saw six or seven giants this morning just outside the park on the headland having an absolute ripper of a time in the water. What better way to enjoy your morning cuppa than with a whale watching sea show?

“Seven of our cabins also have direct ocean views so there is no more perfect place on earth than right here, right now! And don’t forget to bring your pups with you – we have two pet friendly cabins and ensuite sites as well for a more luxurious feel.”

Reflections Park Manager at Eden and Pambula Robyn Kidd said the lockdown lift was a real mood booster for the parks, guests, and local communities.

“There is real excitement in the air and people are walking around with broad smiles on their faces,” Mrs Kidd said.  At Eden we saw 13 bookings made pretty soon after yesterday’s announcement and the queries keep coming in.  And right now the whales are booming – the local Whale Festival may have been cancelled but you can still see them from our park.”

Mr Baker said park staff were absolute champions in getting up and running quickly and were keen to help guests and surrounding communities enjoy holiday park life again. “Stringent COVID plans are also in place, including additional cleaning of all facilities and a contactless check in system,” Mr Baker said.
