Led by former co-presenter of ABC TV’s At The Movies, David Stratton, Travelrite International is offering a unique Film Festival at Sea where guests will cruise the spectacular southern South American coastline to Antarctica.

This exciting 20-day tour runs from January 16 – February 4, 2020 mainly aboard luxury cruise ship Celebrity Eclipse as David screens and comments on some of his favourite films.

David Stratton is a former director of the Sydney Film Festival, former film critic for international film industry magazine Variety, and is currently film critic for The Australian. A recipient of the Australian Film Institute’s Raymond Longford Award, Stratton was the successful leader of four previous Film Festivals at Sea. His decades-long involvement and wealth of knowledge in the film industry makes him the ideal person to lead this exciting cruise.

Celebrity Eclipse in Antarctica

This tour will take guests to intriguing and culturally diverse places including Buenos Aires, Montevideo, Puerto Madryn, Stanley, Cape Horn, Ushuaia, and Antarctic Sound. Passengers will cruise past panoramic scenery such as Ushuaia’s breathtaking snow-capped mountains, Antarctica’s incredible icebergs and ice-covered mountains rising out of the ocean and Elephant Island whose name was chosen by early explorers who saw elephant seals on its shores.

Highlights of the tour include:

– Travelling down the widest avenue in the world – 9 de Julio Avenue in Buenos Aires.

– Enjoy a sightseeing tour of the marvellous Tierra de Fuego National Park in Ushuaia.

– Visiting Puerto Madryn’s Peninsula Valdes, a wildlife sanctuary for birds and marine species like rheas, flamingos, whales, sea lions, and sea elephants.
