This Summer, Taiwan’s celebrated bubble tea sensation, KiKi Tea, unveiled its refreshing drinks collection at Sun’s Bazaar at Pacific Place, featuring a range of new libations; and a “go green” initiative introducing 100% natural bamboo fiber straws and stainless steel straw, setting the brand apart from its contemporaries.

Welcoming the summer season, KiKi Tea ushered a frosty debut line “Fruit Slushes” in July, adding three refreshing flavours to its repertoire of much-loved beverages. The delicious Grape Slush (HK$38) is not only a wonderful way to quench thirst, but nourishes one’s body with important nutrients to help reduce heart disease. The tangy, zesty Passion Fruit Slush (HK$38) is chockful of Vitamin A, Vitamin C, and dietary fibre, keeping summer bodies fit and healthy at the same time. A sweet and refreshing drink with a distinct fruity taste of the East, Mango and Queen Lychee Smoothie (HK$38), offers an invigorating taste to beat the summer heat from the sweet and fragrant fruit of the lychee.

New tea toppings are also available to enhance the Taiwanese tea sensation. A new cream mousse flavour topping of Raspberry will be introduced, best paired with KiKi Roasted Tea or Ms KiKi Premium Black Tea.

Tea lovers are invited to add a Taiwanese favourite topping, Aiyu Jelly to KiKi Tea’s signature Jasmine Tea or Peach Oolong. Known for its light and refreshing taste, Aiyu Jelly is high in pectin and vitamins. It does not just taste good, but also helps to regulate metabolism and control blood cholesterol.

This summer also introduces KiKi Tea’s new concept of launching “My Own Mix” at Sun’s Bazaar. For the first time, fans of KiKi Tea can tailor-make their own KiKi drinks according to their own preference. Following two simple steps, customers may select a tea base of their choice, plus an enticing, signature topping – featuring Sea Salt and Cheese, Caramel and Nuts, and the newly introduced Raspberry Flavoured Mousse.

In support of sustainable development, KiKi Tea also introduces its “Go Green” initiative this July by offering customers two eco-friendly options to sip their drinks. A biodegradable and chemical free, natural plant fiber straw made with 100% natural bamboo fiber in Taiwan, will replace original plastic straws. For eco-conscious customers who wish to reduce waste, stainless steel straw set (HK$39) will also be available for purchases from now on, which will include a sturdy straw and a cleaning brush.

Four different ‘bubble’ (add HK$5) options are available to suit different teas and drinks: the most popular Brown Sugar Pearls; a favourite in Taiwan, Mini Taro Balls, Sichuan Pepper Flavoured Pearls with a spicy kick of ‘KiKi Sichuan Pepper Seasoning’ blended from natural peppercorns and premium chilli; and Chinese Herbal Tea Pearls with prunella ‘heal-all’ tea (xia ku cao) used in Chinese medicine, all beloved by celebrities including Shu Qi and Kimbee Chan.

KiKi Tea can also be adjusted to preferred levels of sweetness, from regular 50% down to 30% or zero, and also ice level, from regular 70% to 30% or no ice at all.

Despite being a Taiwanese brand, KiKi Tea has made its debut in Hong Kong ahead of Taiwan where its roots lie – underlining the wide popularity of bubble tea for selfie-snapping in Hong Kong.
