Thought you might be interested in a chat with Keira Rumble from Krumbled Foods who is launching the latest two flavors to her delicious Beauty Bites stable – Salted Caramel, Choc Cherry Coconut and Triple Choc Chip Brownie – the latter has less than 1g of sugar.

Designed to help women (and men) with glowing skin, healthy hair, stronger nails and gut health, Beauty Bites are bursting with collagen, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, prebiotics and probiotics.

They are Australia’s first edible collagen bars to combine five illuminating and age-defying ingredients in a convenient, single daily dose, and Choc Cherry Coconut Beauty Bites will be available in Coles from TODAY (Tuesday, 27 October), and with Salted Caramel & Triple Choc Chip available online. All 3 new flavours will be available in Priceline from Monday, November 2.

Collagen starts to decline as you get older so it’s important to replenish those levels and Krumbled Foods CEO Keira, 29, says edible collagen is a great way to do that.

“Having something that is easy and on the go, yet still loaded with beneficial ingredients like collagen and probiotics is perfect for those that live a busy lifestyle. They are the perfect handbag or desk companion for those wanting a no guilt healthy treat,” she explains.

“Think of your collagen levels as a meter – they start declining, but when you start replenishing them it kick-starts your own body’s collagen too.”

Like the other Beauty Bites flavours – White Chocolate Raspberry, Lemon Coconut and Apple Cinnamon –  there is only 2.8 grams of sugar per bar with each one containing 3800mg of hydrolysed collagen peptides. The exception to this being their new Triple Choc Chip which has less than 1g of sugar.

“That’s more collagen than what you will find in most sachets on the market,” explains Keira. You need a low molecular weight to ensure that it’s actually digested properly and transferred through to collagen.

“People report seeing a reduction in fine lines, better skin hydration and moisture levels, thicker hair and stronger nails from around the six-week mark– and that’s from the consumption of just one Beauty Bites a day over time.”

Collagen is a protein that binds tissues in fish and animals and Keira is the face of the edible collagen market, which is booming, and a research report by Global Market Insights believes the Global Collagen hydrolysate market revenue is projected to exceed $1 billion by 2026.
